director of photography Born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Boston, Pyong Yim has always loved poetry and photography. Her filmmaking journey began when she was awarded a grant from Wellesley College to produce a video on Zapotec women in Oaxaca, Mexico. The trip inspired Pyong to pursue filmmaking full time. As a graduate student at the USC School of Cinema-Television, she studied many areas of filmmaking. She was especially drawn to cinematography. Since then, Pyong has had the fortune of shooting many short films, features, commercials, as well as shows for the Learning Channel, Travel Channel, and Women's Entertainment. Pyong Yim lives and works in Los Angeles, California. |
